Car and Driver Magazine : 10Best Cars: Best Full-Size Sedan : January 2005"Chrysler's new four-door is high, wide, and, if not exactly handsome, certainly hard to ignore. With its bull nose, turret top, high beltline, and gun-slit windows, this hefty rear-drive sedan represents a 180-degree departure from Chrysler's graceful, glassy front-drive cab-forward era. But if the new 300 isn't as seductive to the eye as its immediate predecessor, it has far more appeal to the other elements of a driver's sensory apparatus -- the gluteal muscles, for example, and the viscera. This is particularly true of the C version, which is hammered down the straights by Chrysler's 340-hp Hemi V-8, a pushrod 5.7-liter brute whose thirst is mitigated by a cylinder-deactivation system that neutralizes four pots in low-engine-load modes to keep the Hemi on the sunny side of the gas-guzzler frontier."
